Mary Arbutina Crowned Queen Mansfield Senior High held its annual Homecoming October 8 and 9 this year. Master and | Mistress of Ceremonies were Chris Stanish and Lynn Cunn- ingham. Juniors chose “Over the Rainbow” for their theme. Mary Arbutina was chosen queen by the student body. he was escorted by Craig Leedom. Her attendants were Tracey Myers, escorted by Ben Rachel; Renea Miller, escorted by Terrence Witcher; Phyllis Parker, escorted by Edgar Dominguez; and Julie Schroeder, escorted by Jeff Guill. Queen Mary was crowned y last year's queen, Kim Back. im was escorted by Melvin Smith. Presenting the ball to Queen Mary were football Captains Vernon Hairston and Paul Schroeder. Darren Chatman, President Of the Class of 84, thanked the Juniors for their hard work in Making this homecoming suc- cessful. Darren Jackson, Presi- dent of the Class of 88, delivered a short speech. Tygers Look Toward Future The breaks went against the freshmen this year. They con- || cluded their 1982 campaign . with a 2-5 record. However, Coach Moore feels it could easi- ly have been a 5-2 season. The rookie Tygers were captained by Quarterback David Minard Qnd Strong Lineback Curt Brown. “Everyone that participated did a very good job, said J.V. coach Scott Gordon. “You have tO give the guys credit; they alll dressed on Friday and came Out to the game, although they didn’t get to play. On one Saturday they had to get up €arly and play after a late game on Friday. The Tyger reserves finished their season with a 6-3 record.
