The dance floor was jammed as the D.J. spun the discs, and announced Jack Elswick and Lori Simmons as Prom King and Queen. Part of the challenge of this year’s prom was the chance to test Mr. Dressler’s driving instruction on the foggy drive from Mohican to the Richland Mall Cinema. Those who passed the test arriv- ed in plenty of time to view “Shampoo” and “Take This Job and Shove It.” Seniors still cognizant then headed for Park Lanes and two more agonizing hours of “Turn the Page ” — Prom ’81., Seniors’ Big Night Enjoyed by All Long Awaited Day Arrives at Last After a day long drizzle, the Class of 1981 held their Com- mencement and Baccalaureate exercises at Arlin Field, the evening of May 30.
