STE SM SATAN ae SS) w Juniors Present Homecoming ’78 The Homecoming theme chosen by the Junior class this year was “We've Come a Long Way, But We’ve Got a Long Way to Go.” Festivities began with the assembly held in the gym on October 13. Sheri Everson and Steve Purvis served as MC’s of the event. Speakers were Sue Hilliard, Tony Lev- erette, and Coach Lanier. Singing to the queen was Mike Sykes, while Cindy Beard, Tammy Gamble, and Denita Williams opened the program with the theme song. Other events included a dance on Friday night and the Admiral King game on Saturday.

Tyger Marching Band Is Biggest Ever The Tyger Marching Band out- marched the other bands in the Buck- eye Conference this football season. They held concerts at Christmas and in the Spring at the time of the Awards Banquet. This year’s band president was Jean- ette Kidwell, vice-president was Starla Kareff, secretary was Tammy Kinnan, and Diane Curry was elected treasurer. The band council, consisting of two representatives from the sophomore, junior and senior classes, organized sales and helped plan activities for the year.
