They finished 4th in the Buckeye Conference and 9th in the Sectional Tournament. The most valuable player was third year letterman Nate Robinson.

26 Volleyball Team Shows Determina- tion Experience was not lacking on this year’s volleyball team, as they finished with a 4-4 season. The highlight of the season was beating Shelby 2-1 in the opening game. Three year lettermen, Gail Kindinger, Michelle Brumm, and Andra Webb, served as tri-captains. Spirit Abounds at Senior High This year apathy was conquered at Senior High with great work from the cheerleaders and Pep Club. Many pep assemblies were held throughout the year. Mrs. Kohutek spent her first year as advisor to the Pep Club. Officers were Nelda Westlake, president; Barrie Geiger, vice- president; Ann Smith, secretary; and Lori Hughes, treasurer. Their main fund raising projects were the sales of pep ribbons and buttons, key rings, and Pep Club memberships. Barb Thompson served as CHEERLEADING captain. One highlight of the year was attendance at summer camps. Varsity cheerleaders went to Malone College, while reserves went to Rio Grande. Miss Papenhausen and Mrs. Dunn again served as advisors.
