Class History We, the graduates of 1959, conclude our four years of high school. These have been memorable and happy years filled with lasting experiences. We leave our books behind and take up new fields of interest. Divided into the Applesecd Pioneers and the Simpson Bulldogs, we were rivals. To lead the freshman class at Applesecd were Becky Graham with Holt Quinlan, Terry Sch-mahl, Don Monk. Leading the Simpson post was Erwin Brauchler with Sandra Rath, Jan Bryner, Kathy Culp helping out. United wc stood together as a sophomore class at Senior High School. We elected Erwin Brauchler as our president with Joan Ball, Kathy Culp, and Sally Heckert assisting him. Selected as our advisors were Mrs. Hoffman, Mr. Black, and Mr. Poffenbaugh. Our junior year was headed by Steve Steinhour as president. Susan Frank reigned as homecoming queen. Her court was Becky Graham, Venus Smith, Joan Ball, and Jeanine Swetlic. Our senior year dawned with the same officers. The Manhigan was headed by Dennis Waite, while Anka Vancff headed the Hyphonerian. The senior class play, Spring Dance, was staged in late November. Everyone did a marvelous job in V a rs it y .V ar i e t i es. The ending of our senior year drew near with the election of our Relay Queen, Billie Sue Baker, and her attendants. Soon wc found ourselves at Class Day exercises on June 2nd and then came the rush of arrangements for the prom held on June 5th. One of the most memorable occasions of our life came when we said our final goodbyes to M.H.S. and assembled at Arlin Field on June 12th to receive our hard-earned diplomas. 125 ABEL, RICHARD CARL ACADEMIC ALLEMAN, CAROLE ANN ACADEMIC Pep Club 2, 3, 4 S.O.P.C. 2 C.A.A. 2 Y-Teens 2, 3 ANDERSON, HARRY ROBERT GENERAL Class Executive Committee 2 Hi-Y 2, 3, 4 V.I.C. 4 D.C.T. 4 Junior Achievement 2, 3 Pep Club 4 Football 1, 2 Track 1 ALEXANDER, CONSTANCE E.
