TORCH HONOR SOCIETY The object of thrs organrzatron IS to establrsh good fellowshrp among the students rnterested rn the pursurt of knowledge to encourage scholarshrp by recogmtxon of merxt and to promote good school crtrzenshrp Offrcers of the club for thrs year were Joyce Asmussen Presrdent Daryl Asmus sen Vrce Presrdent and anet Avenell Secretary Treasurer The general commxttee charrman were Marrlyn Nordby Socxal Catherme Jensen Membershrp and Mary ean Thomsen Scholarshrp Four new members were 1n1t1ated rn September These new members were Daryl Asmussen James Thomsen Phyllrs Pease and Marrlyn Nordby Snnce the encouragement of scholarship IS one of the foremost objectrves of the Socxety the mam project for the year was the establrshment of a scholarshrp fund to be presented to a graduatnng senror who IS gomg to go on to a school of hrgher learn mg Th1s student does not have to be a member of the Torch Socrety but they are se lected on the basrs of frfty percent scholarshrp and frfty percent cmzenshrp by the aarlty NATIO NAL HONOR SOCIETY X X x 23- 7 5 .
