It is a well established fact that the main purpose of the paper is to inform the student body of school activities. The paper staff has met this responsibility head-on and in doing so they have earned the respect and gratitude of the students and faculty of MHS. The Tiger Tale is a working organization. It charges a fee for the production of the paper. There is no profit, all the money is used to pay for paper and ink. Most of the work is done by the students themselves. They gain confidence in their own abilities and a respect for the job that the others do. Standing, l ft-right: Tawana Lowe; Sponsor. Mr. Hugh lx wTimore, Cheryl Hawthorne. Memories are what yearbooks are all about. We certainly hope that your memories of Mansfield High School will be pleasant ones. The job of the annual staff is to put together an annual that w ill presene these memories for you. Hard work is the backbone of a good annual. It takes hard work to produce a good annual. If work is the backbone then creativity is the heart of one. W ithout creativity you have nothing but a published scrap book of pictures. They elect officers, and have a meeting once a month. The club fulfills its responsibility to the school by its participation in the assembly programs and by giving the morning devotional. Because it is the only course and club of its kind ifi MHS it stresses an appreciation of the arts more than a development of the individuals artistic ability. Kay Gray gives a morning devotional. 7%e .. We, The Tigers, feel that we are fortunate in having an outstanding faculty and wish to take this means of saluting them. The Annual Staff ‘TZle ..................................... 7 'Prefcaxe After a year of work in the classroom, participation in various clubs and organizations and another victorious season of sports the Tiger will again return to a summer of preparation for the next year. Before retiring for the summer let’s look hack on the year, with all its’ memories—Good moments, had moments, winning and losing, excitements and downfalls, success and failure. Remember the confusion at registration, the rush to buy books and standing in line to pay fees. Remember the pep rallies, football games, cheering till you thought your throat would hurst and the defeats, shared not only by the players, hut by the fans too. and the victories, how sweet they were. Remember the assemblies, the class meetings, and banquets. Remember the excitement and thrill of homecoming. Remember the day the yearbooks arrived- and last of all remember the time for Seniors. . .Graduation. We. the annual staff hope that we have instilled in this year’s TIGKR a few of your memories, and we hope that in later years when you look hack at this year’s TIGER, you will remember. W e hope that next year w ill he even better and that you will awake to another season of victories and good times, this is our utmost wish. Annual Staff 1969-70 Co-Editor........ Co-Editor........
