Miss Graham obtains equipment from the treatment room An Area of Highl Specialized Care INTENSIVE CARE UNIT The intensive care unit, INCU, is a new section added to Mansfield General which was completed in April of 1966. This special 8 bed division is especially designed to care for those individual patients recovering from major surgery and those required constant watchfulness to secure their most optimum recovery. This is a further step in attempting to improve the service of the hospital to more adequately meet the needs of the growing community and surrounding areas.

Care is unlimited and the staffs supply- ing these departments have a rich and abounding knowledge of total patient care. Their skills are used daily in maintaining life and preventing death. With the individual patient in mind, personnel work to meet his needs efficiently and effectively. All of these combine to aid the hospital in functioning as a complete unit.
