Kathy was a large part of our lives. We so loved her and always will. She was the joy of my heart and the apple of my eye. Her Grandmother Virginia Porter Katherine (Kathy) was my sister, but she was more than that. She was a friend and a pal. Kathy was always very caring, loving and kind and everyone who knew her loved her very much. So did I. Her fabulous outlook on life, her ambitions, and her goals carried her further in her life in 15 years than mine have carried me at age 22. Kathy will always have a very special place in my heart and the hearts of all who loved her. She was a super person. Just always remember when you miss her most that she’s not dead, she’s only gone away to a much happier place ... Heaven. Katherine MOTHER Born March 31, 1968, she was nicknamed Kathy. She was always a bright and lively child, very out- going and such a lovely personality. She loved sports and horseback rid- ing as well as other out- door activities. In April 1983,she was stricken with cancer. But she quickly ac- cepted it and made the best of it. She received alot of intensive treatments. But Kathy still had a smile and kind word for every- one. And she lived each day to its fullness. On No- vember 1, 1983, God called Kathy home to be with Him. Hold all your good memories of her as we do. And | hope one day all of us will meet her in the Rap- ture. WHAT A GREAT DAY!!! A FRIEND Elizabeth Bonsack Waiting patiently Manor High School will surely miss you Kathy. We love you dearly. The Student Body 5 Preparing for her sister’s wedding. isle SaWtale Kathy fought a valiant battle against insurmontable odds and at one time she seemed to be the victor, but it was only for a while. God only knows his divine plan. Her ordeal was great and her suffering severe, but it has all culminated into eternal rest. We often have plans and wish for them to come to fruition, but the Master’s plan must take priority. We had things that we wanted to see her do and perhaps she had plans of her own, but God had a nobler task in mind. His thoughts are not always our thoughts. His ways are not always our ways. But His will must be Wenn tee eee ee Seek Se ee Kathy was a very kind, thoughtful and considerate person. She was always concerned about her friends and if they were ill. She was a wonderful friend. Kathy had many talents. She could sing, skate and twirl. It was always a pleasure to see Kathy in the halls at school. She always greeted you with a smile. Kathy was a great friend and was there when you needed her. Lynn Edwards Homeroom 206
