SUPERINTENDENT TO THE CLASS OF 61 What should one say to Seniors? Naturally you are happy because you have completed one phase of your educa- tion. Congratulations are in order on your success in attain- ing a goal. Does this graduation represent in every case the highest endeavor on the part of every member? Let us hope that everyone has learned to apply himself to every task which is assigned, and to continue to strive until the assign- ment has been completed. Let us hope that all have learned that success only comes through genuine effort. If everyone really has learned this lesson and appreciates the blessings o our form of government, where one can make a choice as to the future, the future of everyone will be most promising. Again, Congratulations! Sincerely yours, EARL E. CH ISA MORE EARL E. CHISAMORE PRINCIPAL TO THE SENIOR Learning is a continuous, personal life process. Signifi- cant at each milestone is an ever present desire to want to learn and become an increasingly responsible, self- disciplined individual, who stands for his convictions but respects the rights, strengths and weaknesses of others. America has been made great by men of initiative who acted positively and creatively, recognized their potentiali- ties and bent every effort to de velop them , were firm in their belief of the dignity and inherent worth of each man, and who freely accepted responsibility for their decisions, successes and failures. At this point, hearty congratulations. May wise choices lead you to future self realization, development and the strengthening of a free society. Donald E. Eastham, Principal DONALD E. EASTHAM 4
