In September of 19ip8 a group of boys and girls started school under the guidance of Miss Barker. Seven of our graduating class have been together through our thirteen years of school. They are: Helen Abbott, Wayne Allen, Bonnie Brown, Ronald Jacobs, Donald McKone, Nancy Stewart, and Gayle Pelton. During the elementary years we gained and lost many pupils. In the first grade Elizabeth Fone joined us; in the fourth, John Clement; and in the fifth grade we gained Sargent Frappier, Maynard Gillard, and Leonard Schryver. Arlene Kellogg joined our merry group in the sixth grade with Charles Thomson in the seventh. The eighth grade was where we got a large addition to our class. They were: Nancy Loomis, Elmo Loomis, Jesse Porter, and Larry Shultz. In our junior year Lou Deemer entered our group to complete our class. The next September we found our class in high school enjoying all the wonderful privileges we had looked forward to. During these last four years, we have had dances, parties, movies, and other interesting activities. We will always remember the Junior Prom, our Junior and Senior Plays, assembling this yearbook, and the ultimate goal — the trip to New York City during our Easter Vacation. We wish to thank all the teachers who have worked so faithfully these twelve years with us. Their teachings are priceless, for no one can take them from us. We give special thanks to Mrs. Joyner, Mrs. Cady, Mr. Dunn, Miss Crahan, and Mr. Smith, who have been our class advisors the last four To them we all give a special note of thanks i years , The Class of 1961 36
