Our Town This Is the Way We Were in Our Growing Up and in Our Marrying and in Our Doctoring and in Our Living and in Our Dying. The Drama Club presented Our Town , a three act drama by Thronton Wilder on April 27 G 28, 1973. It centers around a small town called Grovers Comers, New Hampshire where the Gibbs and Webbs are neighbors. The play focuses on George Gibbs (Ron Kerchner) and Emily Webb (Denise Hartz) who are young friends, then teenagers, lovers, and finally man and wife. They barely say their vows till death do us part before Emily is taken in death and placed in the village cemetery on a rainy, dreary day. The cast was headed by the Stage Manager (DuWayne Polte). He told the audience facts about the town. When he needed assistance, he called the local advisor, Professor Williard (Criag Schis-ler). The town had a doctor and his family, Etoctor and Mrs. Gibbs (Randy Teske and Lori Swanson). They were the average parents of the prospective groom George and a daughter, Rebecca (Deb Roush). The local newspaper was published by Editor Charles Webb (John Schmidt) and his wife Myrtle (Pam Roush). Their starry eyed children were Wally (Nate Stoller) and Emily. The town's paper boy was Jo Crowell, Jr. (Steve Heward). Other supporting characters in the drama are Jo Stoddard (Jamie Kirkpatrick), Constable Warren (Jim Tunney), Simon Stimpson (Keith Carpenter), Mrs. Soames (Barb Gaunt), Howie Newsome (Mike Nelson), Si Crowell (Audie Rudiger), and Sam Craig (Kerry Jensen). The people of the town were: Sherri Oloff-son, Deb Creason, Theresa Miller, Bettie Hensel, and Carolyn Anderson.

Emerald Hills Country Club May 18,1973 Junior-Senior Prom Cabaret was the theme of the 1973 Junior-Senior Prom held at the Emerald Hills Country Club in Sterling. The dance started at 9:30 featuring Pepperidge which lasted until 11:00. Coronation was at 10:00 with Junior attendants Pam Roush and Rick Childers. Senior Attendants were Judy Hansen and Terry Roush. King Tom Slock received a scepter and Queen Sherri Oloff-son received a dozen red roses and a crown. The banquet soon followed with Swiss Steak as the main course. Rick Childers welcomed everyone, Terri Flint gave the response, and Lori Hewitt gave the Benediction. Wills were read by Theresa Miller and the class prophecy was read by Judy Hansen. Bowling, billiards, and movies were then available for entertainment until 6:00 a. m. when doors were opened and the night became only a memory. 26
