Homecoming Parade October 16,1970 The homecoming festivities got underway Thursday night, October 15, with a skit by the cheerleaders. The snake dance followed, and the climax of the night was the announcing of the king and queen. It was a sunny day for the parade. Many class members were hustling about attending to last minute details on their floats. Judges downtown observed the floats as they passed and placed the Seniors' float Laying for a Victory first. Second place was taken by the Juniors with Well Armed for a Victory, and the Freshmen placed third with We'll Lick 'em. 26
