Thursday night, October 20, the homecoming festivities got underway at the school with a skit featuring the characters of the comic strip Peanuts . The snake dance was followed by a bonfire at the Manlius park. The Bradford dummy was thrown into the fire and the cheerleaders led the crowd in several cheers ending with the Manlius loyalty. It was a sunny afternoon for the parade. All morning class members were rushing around attending to last minute details on their floats. The parade finally got underway at 1:30. The floats passed by the judges downtown with the Sophomores getting first place on their We'll Make Monkeys Out of Bradford. Second place was taken by the Juniors with Type up a Victory, and the third place was Trap 'Em by the Seniors. 6

The homecoming game ended in defeat for the Manlius Red Devils. The score was Bradford--6, Manlius--0. At the dance the following night, October 22, the homecoming king and queen were crowned. The king was Dale (Butch) Sierens and the queen was Cynthia Ratliff. The attendants were Senior--Diana Roush and Doug Schu-ncman, and Nancy Oberle and Jim Behrens; Junior--Ruth Buckley and Mike Michlig; Sophomore — Karen Miller and Rick Raabe; and Freshman — Patti Doty and Jeff Mull in. The students and alumni were entertained by the Frank Black Combo. 7
