Manlius High School Salutes: Mr. Milbum For nine years Mr. Milbum has been a familiar face in the hall of Ivt.H.S. Soon after arriving here he found that spare time would be something very rare. Not only has he directed our bands, given music lessons, taught speech, directed plays, drove a bus, but also he has played in various extra athletic events, sponsored five senior classes, chaperoned six senior trips, been scorekeeper, scoutmaster, and taken part in little theater productions. The students and faculty of M.H.S. join in thanking Mr. Milbum for what he has done and in saying that we will miss him. M.H.S. wishes Mr. Nfilbum the best in the future as a professional scout.

xv Now we'll get those A quiet day in the streets of 1 know that contact lens is seniors. Manlius. here somewhere?! FRESHMAN INITIATION On September 21, forty-two freshmen were brutally admitted to high school. We had a full day of fun and frolic (?) All morning whenever we saw a senior we recited a piece on how wonderful they were. In return we were decorated with lipstick, sour whip cream, shaving cream, molasses, catsup, and corn syrup. In the afternoon the whole school saw each freshman do a stunt, such as giving an egg shampoo or eating flour. That night the seniors gave a dance which we all had to attend, either by choice or by force. All in all we had a good time, but just wait till that class of 1971 comes along. Miss America, 1930
