REUNION IN ANN'S BACK ROOM Standing here on this fine August day at the Manlius International Airport to greet the Class of '64 is the former Sharon Zimmerman, now a famous physical therapist. Now getting off his private plane is Randy Mullin, an intern in one of the prominent hospitals in Chicago. Randy will soon start up practice with his father in Manlius, Who’s the pilot? Greg Berry, it’s only a hobby for him. He’s a professional student at one of the Chicago Universities, so he can play basketball the rest of his life. What’s this driving down the runway? A 74 Grand Prix. Why it’s Dorothy Krug, still a bachelor woman and now owner and chief driver of a thrill show. She is now a resident of Princeton so she doesn't have to drive so far every night. Is this a hearse? No it's a 47 black Cadillac. Why it's Bob driving. Who's with him? A1 Carlson, the well known architect and it appears that Bob is his houseboy and main consultant. Here's Jim and Betty just back from Florida, their yearly trip away from the kids. Jim is now farming a 10,000 acre farm with his father and Betty is taking care of all the little Thompsons. Don just dashed down from Chicago in his helicopter to say hi. He has to rush back to his radio station where he is the main Disc Jockey. Well here's identical cars pulling up. Who is it? Oh, of course; Sharon and Karen, now nurses in Moline. Only half the class is here, but we'll go on to ANN'S BACK ROOM where we are to meet, and talk old times over. A cloud of smoke. What is it? Dean Lubbs in his Air Force suit. My, he looks nice! Oh dear, there’s the wife and two kids. Here's Gary. His jet was late because there was a delay in his trial. By the way, Gary is the lawyer, not the defendant. Marv, Nancy and the family showed up. I don't see how Nancy does it. Teach school, raise a family, and still help Maiv on their small 3,000 acre estate. Poor Larry, what a nervous wreck. He's been state Superintendent of Schools in California for five years now. His early training in school administration helped quite a bit. Here comes Sue with a line of little Franks following her and Rich. Here's a redhead. Why it's Marsha, soon to appear in the Broadway hit, Elsa. I hear Marsha still goes to Princeton every weekend and still doesn't have her driver's license. In walks Merle still wearing that jacket he wore through the depression. I hear he's a high school teacher, but nothing like the ones we knew. As a sideline he is director of music with a PHD. He puts his acting ability to use in the classroom. There's Karen comparing notes with Merle now. I hear she's so devoted to her teaching she doesn't even look at boys any more, if that's possible. Well, an executive secretary. Pat finally made it. She's not only his secretary but she caught him and they now have twins. Hi Nancy, how do you like having a preacher for a father-in-law? It took Nancy five years but she finally tied him down. Denny is following in his brother's footsteps and working at Kraft. He is now bulding a home in his spare time, where the old school used to be. Why, Linda, I haven't seennyou since school was out, when you moved back down south and married a rich, old, Southern Colonel. I hear that you are the leader of K.K.K, Following in your grandfather's foot-steps, huh? Penny is now married and living in Walnut where she is raising a flock of little Hoot Owls. Pete and Sam seem to be doing fine, farming together on their three farms between Thomas and Tampico. There is a total of 7,000 acres of land where all the Johnson children can run wild. Shirley is now a housewife in Wyanet raising children, in-between taking care of the books for her husband's large trucking firm. Jeanne finally made it. I hear she had a little trouble making the books balance tonight after work at Marshall Field's Department Store; but Larry helped her so they could make it on time. Here comes Jim Jones being pursued by the Air Force MP's. Well, Jim what did you do this time? Oops, they got him. Sec you in 10 years, at the next reunion, Jim. 21
