N 1952 Class Prophecy' The other day as I was traveling from Chicago to Manlius to display my fashions at Marge's Department Store - Marjorie gained experience in this line by working in the dime store on Saturdays throughout the school year - I stopped at a bus station to inquire directions. While talking to the ticket agent, I saw Norma Hartz, an old classmate, getting off the bus. I asked her if she would care to go with me to Manlius and she said she would. As we were traveling along route 88, we noticed the temperature of the car rising and we decided we had better stop at the next farm house. When we arrived at this attractive farm house, we noticed that the farm wife was no other than Mrs. Virginia Hurst, a classmate. She invited us to stay for dinner and then she told us that Annevieve Schmidt was to sing in an opera that afternoon on television and invited us to stay - Annevieve received her voice training from M.H.S. As the car was now repaired, we decided to start out again for Manlius and arrived in the suburbs in thirty minutes. Wie soon learned by reading all the posters that Charlene House was campaigning for governor - Charlene always had this ambition in high school. Arriving at the department store and viewing the models for the style show, we recognized Minnie Hodge with her world-wide known hair style, the horse's tail. We also recognized Joanne Hewitt and Margaret Schmidt modeling their red and white checkerboard blouses similar to the ones worn during their high school daze, As we left the department store to mail the decisions on the style show, the post-master was none other than Jerry Dabler - this was not surprising because jerry always did like to play post office. While we were hunting for a hotel, we passed a locker which was operated by Mr. and Mrs. james Glafka, the former Kay Rumbold -- could this be the reason they were always in the hallway at school?
