MANLIUS SCHOOL Manlius Township High Scaool is a most noticeable in troduction to tne town it is situat d between Route Q8 and the village Set well back on a large campus and beautifully landscaped it is a place in which everyone in the District has pride The school was created by election in 1914 The present building was constructed in 1929 and the gymnasium added in 1931 Tne Home Economics Department was remodeled in 1943 lt is very cornol te modern and attractive ln 1944 the farm shop which occcipies the east end of the campus was constructed lt is a very unimposing structure built to fill a need during war time We hope lor better in tne near future Tfie athletic field s located back of the main building and line broken by an occasional tree Football and track are held here lfanlius is a rrember ot tne lllinois Atnletic Association and me Little Eignt conference Athletic fans are plentiful and ardent ln lanuary 1945 an election added parts of Gold Fair 'eld and Greerville townships to the ltflanlius district The school purchased three new busses and beginning in Septem ber 1945 they picked up all students not living near Manlius lfanlius Townsciio High s a fully accredited four year high school lt has a Nell rounded educational program offer ing courses in Mathematics Commerce Social Science Home Economics Music and Vocational Agriculture .
