Beyler, for he is the man who is constantly instilling the will to do right in those who may be led astray, Always maintain your self respect by refusing to do anything to blemish it is the attitude Mr. Beyler inspires in those with whom he has spoken. lnstead of being the hardened individual which his title of dis- 'ciplinarian suggests, students find that he is a kindly person, al- ways willing to extend a helping hand and offer abit of friendly advice. His character teachings will aid in conquering unwanted obstacles on the long road to be traversed upon leaving Manley. ORKlNG hand in hand with Mr. Crofts and Mr. Beyler in carrying out the administrative duties here at Manley are the placement counselor, Mrs. Bevierg the personnel director, Miss Wil- son, the class advisers, Miss Englestein, Miss O'Connell, Mrs. Hend- rix, and Mr. Gunn. Acknowledgment is given to the division teachers who aid students in solving their individual problems. For their untiring efforts and genuine concern for the welfare of the students, the January class of l94i4 offers its sincere appreciation. FlRST ROW: O. L. Beyler, Ass't Principalg l-l. Baleg L. Aileen ranks among those who have had the highest scholastic records in the history of Manley High School. This very versatile young lady is an owner of the Civic M given as a reward for faithful service and oarticipation in school events, ln recognition of her remarkable executive obllty, she was given a Student Council Awardg and in acknowledgment of her creative genius, Aileen received-an Art Letter. Her amusing ond vivid chalk talks will long be re- membered bv her classmates, Erorn reading the above record, one can easily see that Aileen has a well-rounded oersonalitv and that she tends to reiuresent the Class of lift socially as well as scho- lasticallv Aside from her stuifiies and school activ- ities, she finds her greatest oleasures among her paints and in listening to the strains of the Nut- cracker Suite lt has been through her own zeal- ous efforts and genial nature that she has reached the lottv position for which every ambitious student strives.
