Several other speech students were added to the membership in the spring. Personality, originality, and a good speaking vocabulary are the require- ments for membership of the league, besides the required number of points earned for active work in speaking and dramatics. l'lIsl row: ,llinlgf Rlcke, presi dent: Vary fiillfll .llIll!'l'j0l1 Nice-president: Ima Kurflz, set' St-enml rmv: Belly llnlllnlgrl I?m'n1h-v .Yi1rkz'r11rl, llilfvl' lil! film Zrll, lime llnggurz, lame Hmrly, Um' Xlehlhonsr, llnrzazz fiht'.f!'lUllgh, Ru:lcr1't'h .lltflfrn This 'N Thof Rf!! 1'rf1'rxr111fd fix fflt' f111'11f1x 1111 Ilnfw IPJX Il'I'I'l' 171111 l.111g, lC11f11' 'l'11f!1', L111f1' Pin! l1'f1'.fI1Vr, C011,f111I1l11 .l1'1111f11, 111111 f1l' H1111 1111!1frg . l7111111'x, Burke, 111111 fff11111i1', old lx'111n -1111, dc111.f, 1'111f 11 1 11.1 Lvflffl' 5111112 110111 111 Sfzffv- frrd F1'rfa', Tcxnx Bf'1'111'1'c and ,Illd7'IW'Xfl00kIAflg f111f1fu- 11110111 Ihr 1111016 1f1111g+l11l1k 111 good old '41 Dan' D1111jx'- Today I 11'11,f ff1'1'1c'12' 1101116- mmmg flllfffl Hvhffl 0111' l1r1:1'1.f ll'l'I'f' j0Il7IAg' 111111 gm - George Uvlffflf, Pfg 1Y01'1ig1'1'11, Hlffvx 1111114 gill, KFIIVZA' 111110111 High 1Y111'.-' 1-1'1f11111g1 1'1f11111,-', 11111111111 111111 Chmlottr, Il'l10 kflf 1l11' f11'1'111 171111 111111711 IU fflllflllg 1l11' It 111111 lx'11!f1 go-ifff .-'Iliff .A Q h fuss -V 'V4' sf ' -' l M - .. The purpose of the Girls' Athletic Association is to train girls in sports- manship and teamwork, to build heal- thy bodies, and to give interested girls a chance to learn the rules of major girls' sports. The girls meet each week on Mon- days and Thursdays after school under the direction of Miss Catherine Cott- rell, girls' athletic instructor. They play volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and softball in the spring. The group is divided into teams by Miss Cottrell and the girls play a round robin tournament in each sport.
