Each organization was responsible for hosting a Spirit Day throughout the week. On Thursday, the Student Council hosted a Cong Show. Later that evening, the annual Senior Volleyball match was played followed by the Homecoming Bonfire and Pep Rally at the City Park. Friday, the MHS band led the students downtown for a pep rally-parade. That even- ing at 7:00, the crowning ceremonies took place on the football field with Dixie Wood crowned Queen and Jon Roberts crowned King. The MHS football team then proceeded to whip North Central 50-0. Following the game, a dance was held in the school commons with Jay Diamond as D.J. To the freshmen, we will our dignity to distinguish them from next year's freshmen. 57 5 ’88 PROPHECY It is now the year 1999, and wo decided to find the class of 1988 and sec what they are up to now. While traveling through Texas, we ran into Shane at Lackland Air Force Base. He had just been promoted from scrubbing the floors to KP duty. You see, Shane got caught throwing smoke bombs in the barracks. Old habits are hard to break — huh, Shane? Every once in a while, you can be listening to the radio and you 11 hear heavy metal sounds from some familiar voices called the Black Beauties . The voices you hear are Chris, Jennifer, and Melissa. They always did nake a lot of noise together. We couldn't find Dixie anywhere in the United States, but rumor has it that she escaped to Ethiopia to lose all of that weight she gained in college — a WHOLE FIVE POUNDS!! It wasn't hard to find David. He is now a multi-millionaire. He achieved this by spending other people's money Instead of his own. Dave felt like he needed to repay his friends back so he now owns a nationwide hotel chain. Now everyone he stayed with can stay with him. You've seen those commercials for seatbelt safety where dummies crash-test cars. Well, Marcia finally got a job — as one of those dummies. I guess her experiences in high school finally paid off. You are NEVER gonna believe where we found Justin. Our sweet little Ju6tln has turned into the Unknown Stripper ! The only way we knew it was Justin was by his short fingers. Betty never did do what she said she was going to do, but for once, she finally stuck with the idea of becommlng a chemical engineer. Betty has Just recently Invented a hair dye, call Crazy Color , which makes your hair turn a different color everyday. Betty always did want to be a brunette...a strawberry blonde...a platinum blonde••.have grey hair...red hair...and most recently, orange hair. Betty tried but she never could get it quite right in high school. Huh? What'd you say? Oh! You mean Susan! When we found her, she was getting ready to start her FIFTEENTH Job. Why so many jobs? Because every place she has worked has gone out of business, answering HER Instead of the customers. Bennie graduated from college with a B.S. degree in communications. Only his friends know what the B.S. stands for. Oh, by the way—he graduated at the top of his class. After flipping through many phone books, we finally found Kim. She dropped out of beauty school, because she couldn't remember ALL the different shades of nail polish. Since then, she has formed her own hotline called AA for people with personal problems. Her friends refer to it as Airheads Anonymous . John Gillett became a Vo-Ag teacher, but he has other things that keep him pretty busy. He has actually become quite notorious. His name can be read in almost every Sunday paper for PARKING tickets. Wanna explain that, John? After graduating from college, Michelle taught for a while at an elementary school. She soon realized that wasn't exactly what she wanted to do, so she found another Job that keeps her close to kids. Michelle is now featured in the 1999 Spring Summer catalog— modeling children's clothes. Jon Roberts had already decided to settle down. He told us this was his eighth time of settling down . He lives in New York now. One of the biggest cities in the country and he still can't find a woman who doesn't nag, nag, nag! Good luck, Jon!! John Clark is now a full-fledged veterinarian. He says he just loves his job in all aspects, except one. He always gets faint when he has to neuter those dogs. Chelsa is still studying to be a vet technician. She has been through eleven colleges already! So, what's the problem? Well, Chelsa keeps getting caught stealing the chalk and writing obscene notes to her professors. Hang in there, Chelsa! After high school, Todd joined the Array. Todd never was one to be told what to do, so guess what he did! He went A.W.O.L.! He's been missing for years. Who knows? Maybe he went to Ethiopia----visiting his old flame. Carla is now working on falling in love for the 17th time! You're not gonna believe how much she has changed. She is becoming a regular Playgirl!
