This year it was presented to Bryan Clark and Sandy Drury. “A Tribute to Mike” We raise them 'til they’re seventeen. Skinned up knees and patched blue jeans, Mohawk hair cuts, crews and hutches. Football, basketball sometimes crutches. Ball gloves, bats, strewn down the hall, Dirty gym socks, jeans and all. Horses to ride with ribbons to win. When you fall, you get up again. Sack lunches at the old standpipe. Picking watermelons, when they’re ripe. Sleeping in the backyard tent. Nickels, dimes and pennies spent. Sometimes quiet times for studies. Lots of time for special buddies. Then one day God says, “Come with me, Mike, I’ve watched over you, since you were a tyke. I’ve watched as you have grown and learned. And a very special place, you have earned. Come with Me, I have work for you, Something, surely, no one else can do.
