SENIOR TRIP We, the Senior Class of 1968, left Mankato on Thursday night, April 11, for Dallas, Texas. Upon arrival at the Stone- leigh Terrace Hotel, we unpacked, ex- plored the hotel, and ate dinner. We spent the rainy afternoon at a huge shopping center and the evening at a recreation center. On our way back to the hotel we passed Jack Ruby's Nightclub and stopped at Kennedy Memorial. Saturday found us enjoying the many shows, rides and amusements of Six Flags Over Texas. Closing time found 41 seniors and sponsors reluctantly and tiredly strag- gling toward the gates. A high percentage of our class attended Easter services Sunday morning. Most of us attended televised services in Moody Coliseum at S. M. U. We spent the after- noon touring Dallas. We visited and toured Love Field where President Johnson took his oath. Gone With the Wind kept us happily entertained for four hours Sunday evening. After the long weekend, we used Mon- day morning to catch up on lost sleep and to pack. Noon came, the bus was loaded, and we were off. First stop was for a tour of General Motors Assembly plant. Dinner followed and then a visit to the State Fair Park where we toured the Wax Museum. We ate a late supper in Oklahoma City where we called KOMA to make some dedications. Six o'clock Tuesday morning found us back in Mankato, a group of very tired and very happy Seniors. So went our Senior Trip, but who can put in words the good times that only we, the Class of '68 and our sponsors, will remember. 68 JR.- SR. PROM TAHITIAN HO LI DA Y Saturday May 4, 1968 the Junior class honored the Senior class with the prom, Tahitian Holiday A very delicious meal was enjoyed at the Buffalo Roam Steak House.
