The first award is a large felt banner. We hope to earn the 1,000 points and also have one-third of our members memorize the slogan, motto, pledge, and privileges to secure the banner. The money making projects, in which we have tried for 1005? partici- pation, ,include the food concession at the games, and the sale of Christmas cards. One Sunday during the year is designated as Kayette Sunday, on which the members attend church as a group or church of their choice. The Social projects include a picnic for the freshmen and new mem- bers, a Christmas school party, the Mother-Daughter banquet, and secret Heart Sisters for Valentine Day. Members attending the conference Nov. 9 10 at Minneapolis were: Sponsor, Mrs. Dodd; officers—Jane Smith, Faryl McDill, Opal Groves, and Norma Murray. Jane represented the Mankato group in a panel dis- cussion on ways of conducting a Board of Directors meeting. 17
