Durrng the 10 years that Mr Bundy has been wrth Mamtou School he has burlt for the students two new bu1ld1ngs Frxe years ago wrth the old school burldrng crowded wlth elementary Jumor Hrgh and H1gh School students Nlr Bundy suggested the burldrng of a new grade school burldrng adjacent wrth the old h1gh school burldrng For a few years th1s relrexcd thc c owded classrooms However rn a few years rt was decrdcdthat the old h1gh school bu1ld1ng was not 'ng enough for the Hrgh School and Junror Hxgh too In 1914 II was decrded to pro ceed wrth a new Hrgh School bu1ld1ng here rncludrng the bu1ld1ng of the new h1gh school for us He has been very popular w1th the students as both super1ntendent and pr1nc1 pal the pos1t1on he held before bemg appornted to the pos1t1on of superrntendent To Mr Bundy the students of Mamtou extend therr SIUCSIC thanks for all he has done for us Mr Asbury has been w1th Manrtou l-hgh School two years Servrng as pr1nc1pal and algebra teacher he has helped to make our school a more pleasant place to work and play He has mherrted from Mr Bundy many of the unpleasant tasks as well as the pleasant ones among them the task of adm1n1ster1ng dtscrplrne It speaks well for the klnd of man he ts that hrs populanty has not suffered because of th1s Those who have been IH h1s offrce for d1sc1pl1nary measures feel they have had fa1r treatment Mr Asbury has helped to gurde many M H S students on the way to then' destrnatlon and to h1m M H S students say Thanks ' Mr. Bundy has done much for the students of M. -4' wig '4 Gary Hartzell, drawing a picture of Mr, Open house was held in the new Manitou Springs High School building on January 22, 1957. Following a program in the auditori- um, all the parents toured the school and observed regular third period classes in ses- sion, Journalism students described to visi- tors all the steps to putting out the PROSPEC- TOR, and a two page program was handed out, telling about the new school, Refreshments were served to all during the evening by the home economics classes. Algebra was one of many things visitors saw and enjoyed during open house.
