Clifford Cantrell is one of the few students who have attended Manitou School since the first grade, an active member of the shop department, and plans to study engineering next year. Dolly Mathews, who plans to take nurses training when she graduates, came to Manitou in her sopho- more year and is in chorus. Denny Wilkins also came to MHS in 1949, is active in band, orchestra, and chorus, and plans to become a teacher. Gilbert Richmond was the president of the freshman class and is the Pep Club president. A member of the band, orchestra, and chorus and a player on the football, basketball and baseball teams, Gilbert plans to attend Colorado University next year. Law school is the destination of Ted Krahling, the secret ary of the Pep Club. Ted is also interested in art and being on the baseball team. Beverly Eflin has gone in for dramatics in the form of the junior play, CAROLIN JACKSON

DENNIS LEWIS X55-asfyj J we MKQWZ KMZZWZL Dennis Lewis, president of the senior class and past president of the junior class, has been a member of the A basketball team, the football and baseball teams, the band, orchestra, and chorus, the Pep Club, and was a representative to Boys' State last year. A player on the football, ba s ketba ll, and baseball teams for three years, Bill Shumard is the vice president of the senior class. Bill was a Boys' State representative last year and the Pep Club Student Council representative. Norma Kerr, serving her se c on d year as class representative to the Student Council, is editor of the annual staff and has been a circulation manager of the Prospector staff for two years, a member of the band and chorus for two years, and the orchestra for four years. Secretary of the senior class, Janet Smith, has been in the band, or- chestra, and chorus, secretary-treasurer of the Student Council, and one of the circulation managers of the Prospector for two years. Marjorie Voorhes, who came here in January of her junior year from Michigan, is treasurer of the senior class and a member of the Booster Club and chorus. A cheerleader for four years at MHS, Nancy Karlowski has been amember ofthe chorus for four years, an attendant to the home- coming queen this fall, and treasurer of the Booster Club. Chosen homecoming queen when she was a junior, Joyce Harrison has been a member of Chorus and has worked on the annual and Prospector staffs. Jo Ann Shay is the advertising manager for the Prospector, an advertising manager for the annual, a four year member of the chonrs, a member of the band and orchestra and was vice president of the Booster Club last year.
