Arlene Engwall and Scott Gamache were elected to the Student Council. To represent us in the Homecoming Court, we chose Loretta Hersey. Mr. and Mrs. Hough became our pennanent classadvisors. We engaged Arnie J's orchestra forour first big dance, Blue Coral. During the year we sold ads forthe Sands Circus to earn money for our class activities. The big event of our sophomore year was choosing and receiving our class rings from the Jostin Company. Brad GeBott was chosen to be our class president, and to assist him in his duties were Jack Swanson, vice-president, Edith Carlson, secretary, and Paul Behm, treasurer. Dennis Cawthorne ioined Arlene Engwall on the Student Council. For the Homecoming ac- tivities we chose Maryann Suida. Our list of memories include, the train trip to the T.C. St. F rancis football game, the NCM Basketball Championship, the day of rest when the school was filled with smoke, the Sands Circus ads we sold, and the 2000 paper daisies we made for our class dance, Daisy Dip, with music by the Four Guys. As Juniors in 1956, we joined the rank of upper-classmen. We elected Dennis Cawthrone as president, Phil Callan, vice-president, Dorothy Sharpe, se c retary, and Jon Peterson, treasurer. Shirley Chavalia represented us in the Homecoming Court. The high honorof vice- president of the Student Council was awa rde d to Henry Minster with Arlene Engwall and Brad GeBott being representatives. We spent many long cold hours selling Christmas trees at GeBott's Market. Don Foughts orchestra pl aye d for our own J-Hop, the exotic Oriental Splendor. Our memories include the football championship, Senior Government Day, the Hi-Y Legislature, the flu epidemic and the snow storm, and especially our marvelous Skip Trip to Washington D.C., New York, and Niagara Falls. Now as we look fo rwa rd to Commencement, we remember our years in high school as some of the happiest days of our lives, memories never to be forgotten. The Class of i958 23
