l I ADMINISTRATION During this critical year in our nations his- tory, the country has suddenly been aroused to the crying needs of education. The people of the United States know that the education of our young people must be on an even higher level if we are to exist as a free nation in a peaceful world. The citizens of Manistee have placed their trust in our able Board of Education. Super- intendent Dorr L. Wilde, who retires this year after 22 years of distinguished service in that capacity, and Principal Norbert Radtke have been our guides and leaders in our quest for a better education . GUIDANCE For man of us, high school is but the first step in our education . With the thoughts of col lege before us, we need assistance and guidance in planning our courses of study, choosing a school, and seeking financial aid for our college days. For those students whose formal education will end here atMHS, the guidance department helps in job placements and better prepares us for our first step outinto the business world.
