Working with and for people in their efforts to gain a richer, fuller life through education brings a satisfaction not offered by any other work, and this challenges the best that we have in us. As students, may you discover the joy of useful work for it is vital to the fullest life. E SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE lt is indeed an honor to have the opportunity to write a message to the students of Manila High School. The administration believes that the most precious possession of civilization is its youth, that individual personality is supreme. It is the desire of the school leaders and laymen ofour community to develop a program which opens the opportunity to every child: the opportunity to grow to the full intellectual, physical, and moral statue. It is a pleasure to work with students who feel their re- sponsibility is preparing themselves to assume the place as useful and responsible citizens. It is our belief that every individual can contribute some- thing worth while to every group, and on this con- fidence we rely on the fundamentally sound judge- ment of the faculty, student body, and the laymen to maintain and promote our school program.
