Sally Graetz, Barbara Adee, Donna Parke, John Davidson, lrv Rachstein, Mike Dorwart, Sandra Singleton, Mary Towers, Joyce The senior high student council was altered this year by both constitutional and structural changes. The changes made were: each of its members served on one of ive standing committees, its meetings were held during the school day, and its members will be elected by the classes at large in the future. In addition to sponsoring its usual school attairs, the council took upon itself the handling of the Sir Valen- tine contest, the money from which was distributed Gardner, .loan Martin, Kathy Livingston, Vicki Goddard. THIRD ROW . . . Mr. Kenagy, Richard Price, Stan Smith, Nick Andes, Robert Smith, Joanna Hertzler, Doris Laush, Elsa Martin, Martha Winters, Gerry Myers, Nancy Rummel. among the various charities, and the sponsoring of a foreign exchange student who will attend Manheim Township during the i962-63 school year. l Student-faculty committees were also formed to dis- cuss assemblies and general school affairs. It was the hope of the council that these committees might bring about closer understanding and co-operation between the faculty, administration, and students. It has undertaken many projects in the past four years, but probably the proiect deserving The most recognition is The sponsoring of a scholarship fund for a foreign exchange student. This is a four year Tuition paid scholarship and is currently being used by Mr. Tom Duba from Sierre Leone, Africa. He is studying aT Millersville State Teachers College. SECOND ROW . . , Elizabeth Huber, Carl Wenger, Ellen Janes, Dennis Hauser, Jack Warren, Robert Ellis, David Wedge. THIRD ROW . . . Judy Newcomer, Dianne Steele, Mike Sultzbach, eral record hops plus a Halloween Dance and a seventh and eighth grade dance. Also, every day after school, the council members set up a snack bar where students may buy ice-cream and candy. Early this year, The officers of the council attended the District Student Council Conference at McCaskey High School. The student council is an essential part of the Junior High School.
