The Perplexing Problems of Youth Just another daily crisis. June Mad, by Florence Ryerson and Colin Clements, is the most appropriate description of the season of the year and the condition ot the Wood family. Growing up has never been easy, but it was es- pecially dithcult for teen-age Penny Wood as -she struggled to adiust to the ways of adult lite. Penny had gone with Chuck Harris, the boy next door, for several years and their friendship was quite complete until one day a handsome college senior came home with her Uncle Mervyn. She immediately discarded all of her childish antics and attempted to become the attractive young lady who would appeal to a college boy. In her attempts to please Roger, she disrupted the lives of many who were close to her. l-lovvever, from this experience Penny learned the value of friends and the need to associate with people her own age. All this was vividly portrayed by the iunior class when they presented the play March 30 and Sl, l96l, under the direction of Mr. Russell Berkheimer in the C. Howard Whitmer Auditorium.
