JUNIOR PLAY All the world loves a loveri' f especially a young one. This was the theme of the junior class play Star- light, Starbrightf, presented on November 22 and 23, 1957, under the direction of Mr. Russell Berkheimer. For weeks Susan Townsend CMarilynn Hoytj has been eagerly awaiting her sixteenth birthday party, and at last the big evening has arrived. Everything just had to be perfect. But complications arise when she and her best friend, Jennifer Clayton fKathy Witterj, decide to help Lucy Macon CCynthia Kreiderj, an ugly duckling, be- come desirable to men. It soon becomes evident that they have succeeded only too well, for Lucy captivatcs every boy there including Susan's boyfriend, Chuck Lindley fStanley Tignerj. The party appears to be a dismal fail- ure until Gordan Hale CPhilip Shankl, a devastating 'gcollege manf' arrives and captures Lucy's affections. The evening ends happily as Chuck and Susan are re- united and Jenny finally convinces Susan's brother Buzz fNeil Kochenourj that girls can be fun.
