SUPERVISING PRINCIPAL Graduation is an experience to which you have been longingly aspiring and now at long last has come within your reach As you take a look back however, it seems like an incredibly short span of time. Again, as you reflect upon your school experiences that are now a part of history, you may have mingled feelings of regret and gladness. Possibly the regrets that you have come as a result of recognizing that you might have used your time more profitably and might have taken advantage of many opportunities that were yours for the taking. You are mature enough now to know that one does not thrive upon regrets. You can move ahead on the basis of the achievements, understanding, and vision that you now have. Let the shortcomings of the past be reminders of the urgency of making your time, energy, and abilities count for growth in service ta fellowmen. It is up to you now to assume the role of inspiring others. Your maturity affords you the power to think independently and to take the place of a responsible adult in a society of good citizens. You should now be able to accept the challenge of the iob you seek. Again the demands that advanced training place upon you, should you choose to prepare for a field of interest that requires this type of training, call forth the powers that you have developed in your school life. Plan for something big or great but never lose sight of the fact that big things follow successes in dealing with small endeavors, You will not have successes only but there will be failures to face as well. One may lose a battle occasionally and still win the struggle. Graduation may well mark a significant beginning for you in the test of your strength, courage, and determination. Whatever your experience, may your behavior reflect honor upon the institution that made you what you are. So please accept my best wishes for health, happiness, and prosperity together with my heartiest con- gratulations on your achievement.
