Ii 'Ti ,,, I . Lp V KMANHATTANITE ir N BETA SIGMA The ideals of love and friendship ever paramount in the minds of the incorporators of Beta Sigma Fraternity, were the foundations upon which the 1 raternity was founded. On September 15, 1927, Delta Chapter received its charter from the national body. Since that time it has functioned most actively, thanks to the assistance of the Board of Governors of the organiza- tion and the earliest application of its members to the underlying principles of the organization. VVe most graciously thank the Board for making it possible for this chapter to donate the famous Jaspel Three Quarter Trophy and the Edward Dougherty Memorial lNIedal donated to the most proficient student in the Department of Commerce at hfanhattan College Piobablx the most lctiwe peliod of the oig-lnimtion IS dllI'lfl0' the summer months, when the chapter loses its identity and combines with the various chapters from other colleges engaging in many social and athletic activities. This reunion serves not oulv the purpose of more closelv uniting its members, but fosters a spirit of respect and love for the Alma lNIater of other members. How could a brother possibly hold anything but the highest esteem for the Alma lNIater of a man whom he most sincerelv admires and to whom he gives that which is so invaluable, his friendship?
