Now I sit back in my chair and through the wisps of smoke my pipe sends curling upward I see once again the clash of the Green on the gridiron the Hash of Green on the court, hear the crack of the bat against ball and see the other sports looming in a ha7y background. My heart is sad and in a dreamy mood. I close my tear-dimmed eyes and the picture clears. 'It is back in the autumn of 25' a strong., group of sturdy Freshmen have arrived to carry on the proud name of Manhattan. Hardly have thev settled to the steady run of classes before the first call for football candidates Hlled the air and Twentv- nine responded to the man.
