I ' History of the Class of 930 A ix tl l l When the Class of '30 made its first appearance within the walls of Manhattan j College it was composed of a rather startled group of youngsters. Some time later, . ' having been marched down Spuyten Duyvil Parkway to Tibbet's Creek, where the J class was to defend its honor against the Sophomore Class in the annual Tug-of- Al P war, the startled appearance gave way to a triumphant one as we won an over- , whelming and decisive victory after several see-sawing tugs. Following this, came ' the annual football game in which the Sophs balanced the score by winning the , J game 6-0. Thus began our career at Manhattan. Our Freshman and Sophomore years I slipped by rapidly, two full, busy years of our under-class life, crammed with study and a multiplicity of class activities.
