R eflections Spiritual : CONVOCATION At the first part of the school year Manhattan Bible College observed its 36th annual convo- cation. This marks the official beginning of the academic year. On this occasion the student body and the faculty are challenged by a stirring message from the president. It also is a time when we ask guidance from the Heavenly Father for the coming year. Life At The Dorms Dorm life at Manhattan Bible College is a time of spiritual growth and mental activity accented with fun-filled moments. Since ‘college life moves at such a rapid pace, one always welcomes the evening devotions. This daily task gives students the opportunity to gather together within their separate dorms, to reconsider the day's activities and prayerfully look toward tomorrow's. This time of inspiration and prayer binds us more closely together as Christians. — TUESDAY EVENING CHAPEL Tuesday evening's chapel service is the spiritual highlight of the week. The students and the faculty by worshipping together, feel spiritually united with God and man and humbly dedicate themselves to serve Christ and His church. pon eae i : Each Friday evening the students go out to the IOOF Home and have worship services and personal fel- lowship with the people there. This not only brings joy to the hearts of the residents of the home but also enriches the spiritual experiences of the students. IOOF HOME 2s FRIDAY MORNING CHAPEL On Friday morning the students gather for an informal chapel service. The purpose of this is a re-examination of a spiritual week and a preparation for a weekend of service. This service may include inspiration, sing- spiration and information. This is solem- nized in the service of ordination. Commencement each year marks the ending of another school year and the renewing of spiritual life. A time for reviewing a year and commencing a life of service. 37 Academically filled and spiritually rene we come to another part of life. A part of fellowship of fun and of physical exertion.
