The chapel pulpit pictured on the front of the 1953 MABICO symbolizes the purpose of Manhattan Bible College. That purpose is to train consecrated men and women and young people to teach and preach the Word of God as И is revealed. The Book of Life is our authority. Through the years men have tried to destroy the Bible but their efforts have been in vain. The Word of God cannot be broken regardless of how long men may try to bend it into the distorted patterns that satisfy their own philosophies and creeds. We students of Manhattan Bible College are taught not only to preach the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, but to follow and live with Him in service to others in all aspects of life, The Word of God is living and active and its power is capable of giving all men eternal fellowship with God through His Son. To this end we labor. This Page is Sponsored by FARMER'S UNION CO-OP OIL ASSOCIATION Manhattan This Page is Sponsored by COLLEGE FLORAL CO. 1202 Moro, Manhattan VIRGIL V. The demands upon our energies and time are great hut with the extra strength God gives us through Christ we are able to accomplish the things 116 gives us to do. Our morning devotions, Wednesday evening Chapel services, and prayer meetings in the Chapel On The Hill are all sources of fellowship with each other and with God and His Son. For quiet med- itations when we wish to be alone with God we can retire to the Myron Wewerka Prayer Room. A Memorial Corner for the late Pres. Johnson, made up of his books, shelves, and desk, is in preparation and will be accessable to the students when it is completed. A new periodical shelf has been installed as well as some three-dimensional materials. The wealthy Senior Class donated a much appreciated double-faced bulletin board. Thought has been stored in every library just as electricity is stored in a battery. As students use the M B С library a circuit is completed and know- ledge is transferred to their minds. This knowledge, when used for the Glory of God's Kingdom, will make the world more Christian as Christ is pro- claimed forever! 3s Checking out Books | The-Library Staff This page is Sponsored by DUCKWALL'S IN AGGIEVILLE This Page is Sponsored by BOTTGER'S IGA SUPERMARKET Aggieville STUDENT COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES STU CoU я rriet pu eG DENT NEIL ‚у presiden To determine the purposes f and extent of student activ- ities, each class and each or- ganization elects represent- atives to the Student Council, This Council represents the student body to the adminis- tration in order that all things might be done with harmony and understanding on both sides, Another function of the Student Council is the pub- lishing of The Trumpet which is the official student pub- lication. In fact, when all the residents are there together, there is hardly a quiet moment either. Yet when the boys are gathered in a group in the apartment of their housemother, Mrs. T. H. Johnson, there is a different kind of peace. It is the Peace of Christ which fills their hearts as they fellowship with God, His Son, and each other. This has been a good year for Christine House. Several of the rooms have been papered as well as all the hallways, the bathroom was painted, several new light fixtures were installed, and an extension tele- phone was put in upstairs. The residents of Christine House are: Mrs, Johnson, Housemother; Robert Hagelbarger, Delmar Follis, Benny Boling, Maurice Ankrom, Stanley Barnes, Omar Thieme, Bruce Dimmitt, Richard Murray, Don Marshall, Marvin Ledbetter, Jay Taylor, and Ted Satterfield. In the Christine Apartments are: Mr. Mrs. Robert Winger, Mr. Mrs. Walter George, and Mr. Mrs. Leo Brown. It is more than just educating young people for a career, Its task is to train, in a specialized way, people who have dedicated their lives to the most profound Truth which the world has ever known. That truth is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and many have gone from this school to proclaim the Good News of the Resurrection victory. An education does not come free in any school, how- ever, and so it is that Manhattan Bible College students must finance a part of their tuition and expenses. Un- like most schools, the students are not asked to bear the full load, This means that the school must receive support from other sources. Through gifts from individ- uals, Churches, and annuities, the work goes on. === ዴፎ መ = A — ጋሙ መ መመ መሞ ፖጋ = === We are all deeply indebited to our | Field Representative, Robert Е.
