LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the seniors of Mangum High School, of the class of 1952, in the town of Bahama, county of Durham, the state of North Carolina, being of sound mind and bodies, do hereby make this, our last will and testament, rendering void any former wills made by us during a period of temporary optimism. We have no specific directions to leave concerning our funeral but that we may be remembered by our better points, forgetting our many faults. ITEM I To our parents we leave our many thanks for their untiring efforts in helping to make us better fitted for the future. ITEM II To the Faculty, we leave our storehouse of knowledge, our many themes and speeches. ITEM III To our principal, Mr. Anderson, we leave the peace that will be created by our absence. We also leave our passes to go to class, to the store, and our excuses for being absent to ge collected in a volume known as 'New and Interesting i is.' ITEM IV To the Junior Class, we leave our place in assembly and in the lunch line fif they can get past the Sophomoresl. ITEM V To the Sophomores, we leave our place as basketball champions for the next two years. ITEM VI To the Freshmen, we leave a copy of our new book, 'Rules and Regulations of Mangum High School.'

There's Lucille Blalock in her little can't understand how she sews and looks at at the same time. Boy! look at Rosa Belle Stevens! That yer she married really made her a Mrs. Ritz sewing shop. I television both rich, young law Bitz. Diamonds and furs seem to grow on trees around this place. Well, look at Faydene Wheeler. She has finally settled down. That's one of her old flames she has married. Can you imagine her being satisfied sitting down and mending socks? There's Cordelia Hayes designing a piece of jewelry. She sells it to all the large stores of New York and she also designs jewelry for movies. Dorothy Roberts is still dancing, I see. Her folk- dance team is practicing now for the national championship award in the Spring. I hardly recognized Mary Duncan in her baking uniform. Her products are famous all over the South. There goes Stacey Flintom in his newest Cadillac. His new-and-used car lot has feally paid off! Melinda Gaydou, it seems, has married her former boss. Guess who's boss now? Well, here come the Powers' Models! And isn't that Ha- zel Roberts? It seems as if beauty is Haze1's business now. My what a gang of children! Emmy Lou Vaughan seems to be very popular with her students at her nursery school. Isn't that Dan Terry running from that crowd of girls? Since he has become such a fine vocalist and crooner, he's having a hard time controlling his admirers. There's Marie Jacobs who planned to be a nurse. Oh, well, she got as We are back senior, but this dance routine. dance? far as nursemaid, which is really better. in the Stork Club now where we saw another time we see Lobera Duke going through a tap Did you ever realize how that girl could Patricia Paschall is writing another book. She has al- ready written four successful novels. H. L. Chambers looks very happy surrounded by models of his latest invention --dancing dolls. What will he do next? Who did you say? Freddy Williams? Why he's pilot of this time ship! Did you think that I would trust anyone else on a trip like this? Well, we've landed now. Good-bye - and join us again when we make a trip into the future. ITEM VII The Journalism Club leaves the 'dear old stapling machines' to the uprising Journalism Club. Our personal property we so will and bequeath as follows: Freddy leaves all the themes that he has written to the 'Historic Research Company.' Dan leaves his loud ways to Wade Tilley. Libby leaves her ability to get a man to Teeny Hill. Lobera leaves her 'dance' to Barbara Ellis. Mary leaves all her boyfriends at Oxford to Virginia Jeffries. Lucille leaves her good times at the dances to Virginia Tilley. Thomas leaves his many girlfriends to Roxboro Walker. They will have to catch the 'green Hornet' to get to any ball games they wish to attend. H.L. leaves his quiet ways to Sue Poole. Stacey leaves his 'hot rod' to Edward Oakley. Carl leaves his way with the women to James Duke. Robert leaves the back seat of '68' to anyone who would like to have it. Hazel leaves her sweet ways to Charlotte Pope and many blushes to Alma Robinson. Rosa Belle leaves her completed geometry papers to Dave Ladd. Faydene leaves her good times to Sybil Jackson. Emmy Lou leaves her pleasing personality to the members of the 1953 senior class. She leaves all the company she has to the'Vaughan Hotel' in Bahama. Dorothy leaves her flirtatious ways to Vann Mangum. Yvonne leaves her piano playing to all the junior irls. g Bernadine leaves the troubles of the multigraph to the new Journalism club. Patricia leaves her quiet ways to James Jeffries. Lewis leaves the rides in the 'White Mercury' to the girls to fight over. Melinda leaves her 'special boyfriend' to anyone who is able to take him away from her. Barbara leaves her ability to 'Shagg' to Ellen Cash. Cordelia leaves her curiosity to Teeny Hill. Marshall leaves his knowledge of Algebra to Mary Ruth Allen. Marie leaves her friendly smile to Frances Paschall. Now as we are about to leave, to find what awaits us in this Atomic Age, we know that whatever honor we attain it belongs to Mangum School and our parents who have trained us in all the best ways possible.
