34445416 Mangham High Schoo1's 1950 baseball team, the second in twenty years, had a very good year, winning nine and losing only four games, We played such teams as Crowville, Rayville, Delhi, Start, Neville, Ogden, Winnsboro, and Fort Necessity, The leading pitchers of the season were Jesse Mercer, Jr, , with five wins and three losses: and Bob Nobles, with four wins and one loss, . Leading in hitting were Jesse Mercer, Jr,, with a 400 average and Floyd Boughton with a 330 average, The fielding department was lead by Floyd Boughton, James Etier, Bobby Hendrix, and Bob Mclnryre, The outfield had a very high fielding and hitting record, It consisted of Buddy Pardue, left fieldg James Etier, center fieldg and Lannie McKay and Ralph Brown, right field, In the infield the high averages still persisted, At first base was Bob McIntyre, Floyd Boughton at second base, Jackie Petrillo at shortstop, and E, Lee Strickland and Roy Thomason at third base, The catcher was Bobby Hendrix who played almost every game and made only one error, Lannie McKay was substitute catcher, Over a span of two years the Dragon's have won twenty-one and lost only six games- Thanks to Coach Hollis, gl e we Q0 Dba 6, .3-0' xii Y-1 , : oufre Outf 72,4 X9 S is I ?
