OTHER SEASCN I Spring is a time of new hope, beginnings, and challenges. The students and faculty of West High faced this spring season of 1987 with the determination and spirit which commonly prevails throughout our school. Our sports teams were very successful and put a great deal of effort into achieving the goals which they set out to reach. Our con- gratulations go out to all the athletes, who through their hard work and perseverance, managed to do so well this season. The students of West who have set very high standards for themselves, and have maintained these standards were honored at the annual Excellence Banquet. West is very proud of these highly devoted students, and their achievements do not go unnoticed. Our school didn't make it through the sea- son without alittle touch of the very common spring fever! Everyone got a little lazy during West Week last year. It was an opportunity for all to lighten up and have a truly fun time! Student Council presented West with a week of excitement which wonit soon be forgotten. As the school year came to a close, the air was full of excitement. The upcoming prom festivities kept everyone busy, but more im- portantly, the seniors were about to graduate! The Class of '87 said goodbye and the Class of '88 moved into the top spot, ready for the exciting times that lie ahead!
