Adviser, Mr. Leo Elias, the club sponsored the Christmas Semi-Formal and a record hop, aided in the plans for Education Week, contributed to a home for retarded children, and have enjoyed films and speakers on the teaching profession on which the members are basically interested. The Steering Committee This committee was organized to discuss business that could not ordinarily be accomplished during the regular class meetings. The committee consists of two members from each senior homeroom, and is presided over by the class officers.

Student Council The Student Council was created mainly to act as 21 student governing body and to strivc for closer unity between students and faculty. The two major activities sponsored by the Student Council are the running of a Booster Drive and the sale of student activity tickets. Other activities include the sponsoring of n West Week and various social affairs. Members of thc student council are elected in every home room each year. Of- ficers ure elected in May of each year from a group of candidates from the Junior and Sophomore class.
