Cjlzarfes :Quinn g.,p,0n,lwJl?! i Our four years at West have passed and gradua- tion day is here. This is the opportune time for the members of the Class of 1949 to express their heart- felt thanks and sincere appreciation to one who, by untiring efforts, has endeavored to guide our class wisely. Mr. Charles J. Quinn, our class adviser, attended West High School and St. Anselm's College. In 1942 he studied aeronautics at Northeastern University. A member of the Marine Air Corps, he was a dive- bomber pilot overseasg he then returned to this coun- try as a combat instructor. Before returning to West as a history teacher in 1947, Mr. Quinn taught in Pinkerton Academy at Derry. Having been active in sports in school and in the service, he is now basket- ball coach and assistant football coach here at West. We all feel that Mr. Charles Quinn has done his utmost for us and made our every class activity both enjoyable and successful. Miss Mary Sullivan heads the Salon. Her two assistants are Betty Daley and Irene I-Ioflman. The Westv'ille hospital is equipped with a gym- nasium which is supplied with the latest physio- therapy devices. This extremely dithcult gymnasium work is conducted by XY'alter Lovett, aided by james Mahoney and George Thompson. Reducing exercises are given regularly to overweight patients, by ,lack North, founder of S. L. l. M. which means Society Limited to Ideal Males. Charter members of the organization are Raymond Kiestlinger, Roger Rivard, Harold Schlicht, and Harold Schutf. Westy'ille hospital supplies the community with a fleet of ambulances. Two of the famed drivers are Real Beaulieu, and Erwin Wageliiig. The ambulances are serviced regularly by a noted mechanic, Leo Robideau. The hospital provides its board of directors with capable secretaries. They are the O'Connor duo, Mary and Rita, Laurette Spenard, Helen Vattes, and Polly Keilig. Two of America's most outstanding lady dentists are in the hospital employ. They are Geneva Babi- neau and Lucille Blouin. :Xt the head ot' the psycho- pathic ward is Dr. Iidward Yierra. Although the hospital is still in the inauguration stage, six patients have already been registered. One of the first to arrive will be xlames Neilon, who until recently was an old newspaper man: however he has discovered there is no value in old newspapers. Yes- terday, he cut his index hnger oil with a paper cutter. America's playboy, Richard Bergeron, recently re- ceived a spine injury in a yacht accident. He is com- ing to the hospital for observation. Miss Constance lioley received a linger injury at Carnegie Hall, last week, while playing Tschailxowski's Sth. She is ar- riving at the hospital tomorrow. Dr. Lund, our eye specialist, is planning on operating on Arthur Coulombe. Arthur received an injury in his antique shop. Another being admitted is Charles Keller. Mr. Keller was shot in a hunting accident yesterday. Last night the hospital experienced its first per- sonnel casualty. Robert Donahue, one of the hospital night watchmen hit the other night watchman, Al Couture, over the head, because he thought Al was a burglar.
