Who won the World Series in 1936? How many hot dogs were sold in Yankee Stadium in 1952? For these baseball facts and many more, ask any one of Manchester's baseball fans or their head coach,'Mr, Dattolo. Their annual trip to a Phillies game is a memorable experience for all participating students. A trip might sound great but because of extreme apathy, we suspect the club's 1980 batting average is close to zero. With oil prices zooming, and long gas lines forming, get with it, gang, and join Manchester Bicycle Club!! That line may be easier said than done. Since the club was formed, it has been very difficult to find. Mr. Wilkes and his bicycling brigade . . .just where and when do you guys meet, and where do you go?? Well anyway, we can assure you that the German Club is in no way involved in such devious activities. Frau Whittemore and her crew just get together and have a great time talking German and planning get-togethers. Bullied by the big French and Spanish speaking isort ofl population at Manchester, the little German Club has to stick together. Recently, both the French and Spanish Clubs membership dip- ped dramatically. Because of this development, it was decided that a merger would be a good idea. French and Spanish are Romance languages, and having this common bond, the students find it most enjoyable to meet together. This club is involved with planning tqipg, parties, and dinners. Bon chance and buena suerte to this c u . The Motion Picture Club consists of students interested in films. One of the highlights this year was The Occurrence at Owl Creek. The monthly film is something they all look forward to. 5 Motion Picture Club: First Row: David Gaffney, Robert Aiello.
