This year's boy's track team was composed of some strong individual athletes. Heading the list was the unfor- gettable Pete Orbe who was one of the best long distance runners in the history of M.R.H.S. His season was topped by breaking the school record for the two mile run. Also in a very close second, an All-League Honorable Mention, john Barath was the team's finest sprinter. jim Kurpick should also be remembered for his fine job in the triple jump and long jump. Some other outstanding members were Steve Casazza who made the States and jim Goerl who led the hurdlers. Ernie De Marco and Tom Bunting ran very well in the quarter mile. Look at those happy faces! Qi The fooling around never stops, not even on Prom Night. nd john De Preker A tender moment for Dave and Sandy On june 8, 1979, the class of '79 cele- brated their prom at Tamcrest Country Club in Cresskill, Nl. This memorable eve- ning began at 6:30 and ended at 11:00. While students danced, ate and talked, they also thought about their four years at Manchester. The friendships, the accom- plishments, the future were in the minds of senior couples during their formal prom.
