Stu- dents do not take such courses just to receive a high grade, but to learn skills necessary to compete in the business vvorld. Tvvo years of both typing and stenography are offered to prepare future secretaries or clerks. Bookkeeping is also offered from which a career in accounting could be derived. Even college preparatory stu- dents find some of these business courses worthwhile. Some knowledge of typing, for example, is necessary in college, since many assignments are accepted only in the type-written form. ...ping
