Two young men in women's clothing, bum- bling gangsters, an all girl band, singing mil- lionaires and a girlnamed Sugar Kane - what do all these have in common? They're all important elements of the musical Sugar which made its debut in our auditorium on Friday, April l4th and was performed again the following evening. The musical, featuring Nancy Strathearn as Sugar, Bob Zollo as Daphne. alias Jerry. and .lim Len as Joe, alias Josephine. was performed before nearly full houses both nights. Despite hectic last minute problems with scenery arrangement and makeup, everyone agreed that the play was a success including its director. Mr. Ken Zollo, who said that the cast was one of the most cooperative he had ever worked with. While trying to complete a job, Jerry fBobJ and Joe Uimmy Lenb witness a murder and find themselves in hot water. Knowing there was no way to hide in a male band. the boys joined an All Girl Band . . . and hilarity followed. Daphne tBob Zollo! found himself the object of affection from Sir Osgood Fielding. Uohn Wieczerzynskij Mr. Zollo consulted with his musicians Pam Johnson and Dave Enyart. Kim is shown fixing her make-up. ii 1 AXN f

Friday. June 23. l978 was a day that marked happiness for most gradu- ating seniors, and disappointment for others. The commencement cere- monies began promptly at 6:30, attracting the usual crowd of parents, rel- atives, and friends, As the Class of '78 made its way down the hill. their excitement was expressed through cheers and gestures The actual cere- mony began without incident however as the sun began to set and the graduates came forward to receive their diplomas, some lost sight of what the real purpose of graduation entails. Others simply revealed their joy and excitement for this event. A small number of graduates did act in an unbecoming fashion, and caused the administration to take steps in with- holding their diplomas until later MIXED EMOTIO GRADUATIO GHT fi?
