It's an Honor! selection ofjunior girls belonging to the National Honor Society welcome the graduating class to its graduation ceremony. They precede the class down the grassy knoll onto the football field where they stand flanking the incoming graduates. Sam Argenio shows the skill it takes to be in an Anything Goes grapefruit event. Maria Dell'Aquila aided by Harry VanHouten in the marshmallow toss help the Juniors take the lead. Anything Goes Successful On May I8 l978 the Junior Class sponsored Anything Goes as their fund raiser Held m the school gym it tumed out to be a successful and faculty The night included vanous short compe titive races The victory was decided when the J umors won the final event the tug of war In the deciding event, the faculty realized that their victory was doomed. 1' Each year it has been the tradition of the Indi- vidual in Family Life class to invite nursery school children to celebrate Christmas at Man- I chester, ln preparation, the classes decorate their classroom. prepare snacks, create play activities, and perform a Christmas pageant complete with Santa Claus, the star, who is a member of the class. He delights and surprises all the visitors. The program serves to entertain the children and help the students prepare for child care in the future. , as g , r , W . Roseanne Dennerlein playing the part of an elf looks on as Santa prepares for the visitors to arrive Students and guests enjoyed the activities that were planned for the Christmas party. Amy helps one of the guests with his project Christmas Cheer On December 16 1978 the annual Senior Dance and buffet was held m the school cafeteria At 8 00 p m when the 64 couples entered the music of Tightrope welcomed them The cafeteria was transformed as if by magic by the use of a gingerbread house and hundreds of red and white snowflakes The theme of red and white was further carried out by the use of stockings bearing the couples names on the walls When the evenings festivities ended at ll O0 pm the couples were left with warm memories of their Senior Christmas Dance John.
