The layout staff selects all photos and decides where they will go. The Liter- ary Staff writes all the material in the book such as club write-ups. introduc- tory material and activity articles. 142 The Business Staff. whose work is not as evident in the book. does all its work behind the scenes. They sell ads. boost- ers. etc. and sell the finished product. The Sports Staff creates the layouts and copy for their section. The Photo Staff helps in taking photos and making sure every team and activity is covered. Lastly. the Typing Staff takes all copy and types it on the finished galleys. All the groups work to attempt to meet deadlines so that the final product is ready in June.

The Cooperative Education classes learn office skills. These office skills include typing. filing and other office activities. The Cooperative Industrial Education class teaches students industrial skills which will help them later to obtain jobs such as plumbers. mechanics, and carpenters. Finally. the Distributive Education Classes learn about retail and merchan- dising. All the students work part time in either retail or service occupations. All the members of these three groups go to school for half a day and work afterwards. They are learning about the world of business while continuing with their education. The advisors for these programs are Mr. Burghardt. Mr. Faasse. and Mr. Fairweather.
