This year s Student Councils goal is progress. The council by its endeavors is seeking student happiness. They hope to gain respect and recognition for the student body and members alike by their deeds. The council has meetings every other Tuesday where they plan events such as the student exchange day the stu- dent council week the asmblies dances and the bonfire. The most important project for this year is raising money to buy a new chain link fence for the foot- ball field. '-Qu-ui 'QF Weighty Club The Weighlldting Club, under the direc- tion of Mr. Crossley, is designed to help interested students develop better physical fitness. The clubls 30 members include off-season athletes who wish to remain in good condition. Members Don't Show for Photo The Apathy Club is not a newcomer to Manchester. The club boasts the high- est membership of any other club in the school. Despite the large number of members, no one managed to show up to have his picture taken. The number of members is growing fast, but there are still a last few who refuse to join. The club's meetings are held everyday after school. Artistic Club The Art Club is a group of students who express themselves creatively, simulta- neously beautifying our school. The club constructs stage designs and fills the main lobby showcase with extraor- dinary artistic endeavors. People Back Stage If you have ever been to a school play or one of the many concerts our school puts on each year, you have no doubt noticed the people on stage. But have you ever noticed the people back stage who make it possible for you to enjoy that performance? The Stage Crew is responsible for the lighting, the sound system and scenery changes.
